Let me tell you a negative fact about my hometown first..
Kanazawa is one of the most rainy town in Japan.
Although there are budget rental cycles in Kanazawa. It is great to freely discover by bike when it is SUNNY.
So you want to discover Kanazawa city comfortably unless you love rain and biking however it is better to know Kanazawa’s most popular transportation it saves your time and money too..
There are several buses run in Kanazawa, so bus is very popular transportation for all people to go around the city.
Kanazawa Loop Bus and Kenrokuen Shuttle are the most popular and convenient one for tourists which take us all famous sightseeing spots such as “Kenroku-en”, “Omi-cho market”, “Higashi -chaya/tea-district” and so on.
If you purchase one-day ticket, you can get on and off as many times as you want including Kanazawa Loop Bus and Kenrokuen Shuttle. Moreover, some facilities offer discount entry fee when we show the pass.

What is Kanazawa Loop Bus?
Route of the Loop Bus and Kenroku-en shuttle
There are two different types of loop bus which covers highlights of sightseeing spots. And another bus it takes you to Kenroku-en faster than the loop bus from Kanazawa station.

The bus route is opposite directions to Right Loop Bus.

Where and How you should buy the tickets?
Single ticket
When you get on the bus, take a little ticket with number from the machine which is the entrance of the bus first. The ticket number proves where you hop in the bus. When you get off the bus, threw the fee( it should be 200 yen )with coins and the ticket into the machine next to a bus driver.
One-day pass
You can only purchase the pass at the Hokutetsu Bus Ticket office in advance *(You must tell the ticket officer when you are going to ride the bus as they print the date of use. Also it’s Not available to buy on the bus) Some hoteles are available too. Once you get the one day pass, you can use it for not only Loop bus but also Kenroku-en shuttle and even local buses ( only city center area ) too.

Operating hours
These buses runs everyday but stop operating pretty early so be careful the last bus.
Kanazawa Loop Bus runs every 15 minutes between 08.35 and 18:05
Kenrokuen Shuttle runs every 20 minutes between 09:30 and 17:50
*The time of last bus departs at Kanazawa station.
